About Event

Faith Lutheran Church in Topeka, KS has invited Chad Bird to be the featured speaker on Saturday evening, February 10, 2024.   The church holds quarterly gatherings with a lovely dinner hosted by the men's group.   Chad's talk will be on The Transfiguration in Light of its Old Testament Background.     Capacity is limited, and registration is needed.  

Chad will also speak during the February 11 Sunday morning Bible class hour at 9:30 am.    The topic will be How Jesus Fulfilled Israel's Vocation During His Wilderness Testing.

Chad Bird

Chad Bird is a Scholar in Residence at 1517. He has served as a pastor, professor, and guest lecturer in Old Testament and Hebrew. He holds master’s degrees from Concordia Theological Seminary and Hebrew Union College. He has contributed articles to Christianity Today, The Gospel Coalition, Modern Reformation, The Federalist, Lutheran Forum, and other journals and websites. He is also the author of several books, including The Christ Key & Limping with God.
