1. On episode NINETY-ONE of Let the Bird Fly! Mike, while in Utah, had the opportunity to sit down with Barb Munoz to discuss the difficulties and dangers of equating religion and politics.
  2. Well, there’s not much more to type here than we have said on the last, and now this, show. This isn’t sayonara from your pals, Jeff and Dan, but rather a marker in their lives as they move onto new projects
  3. This week, we read from Bo Giertz’s novel, “The Hammer of God,” and discuss belief, revivalism versus liturgy, and what happens when Jesus alone is the focus of all our attention.
  4. Mike sits down with Rev. Jon Micheel and Rev. Tyler Peil. Both pastors currently serve at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Taylorsville, UT. Both Rev. Micheel and Rev. Peil have been serving on a committee to create a new hymnal for the Wisconsin Synod, which is the reason Mike sits down with them.
  5. Wade and Mike sit down to discuss the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and his lasting impact on America today both consciously and unconsciously.
  6. This week, Gillespie and Riley read from William Barclay's spiritual biography, whether all people go to heaven.
  7. Mike and Wade welcome back Rev. Dr. Mark Braun to discuss teaching introduction to theology, something that all three know a thing or two about.
  8. Mike and Peter welcome Valerie Locklaire to discuss apologetics and her book on the topic: Called to Defend: An Apologetics Handbook for the Middle School Student.
  9. Family Style Theology encourages theological conversations with children of all ages. In this series, Daughter, teenage girls from ages 13-22 gather to discuss our greater story found in the Bible. Our conversation is about Revelation 21 and 22, comparing the Garden of Eden to the New Earth. Not only do we talk about our restored creation, we discuss how that reality changes our story right now.
  10. Join the conversation with Cindy Koch and her children in this six-part series involving select FAIRY TALES. On this episode we talk about The Little Mermaid and the connection between sacrifice, true love, and Christ's blessed exchange with us. We were inspired by an essay by J.R.R. Tolkien called “On Fairy Stories”. Ultimately, these fun stories stir up simple truths about ourselves, our God, and the greatest story we know in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  11. On episode EIGHTY-TWO of Let the Bird Fly! the guys welcome onto the show Dr. Martin Moldenhauer, who teaches on the English faculty at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
  12. Our goal is to proclaim the genuine good news—that’s what “Gospel” means—of Christ’s forgiveness for you. We do not offer you better tips, techniques or checklists. Instead, You Are Forgiven is sermons by faithful pastors who will clearly show how you cannot be forgiven by your own efforts, no matter how well you do on your homework, your checklist of tasks. But they will also show how you are actually and already forgiven because Jesus has done all that is needed, for you!
