  1. The following is a Question and Answer session with author and pastor Donavon Riley where we talk about his latest book, “Crucifying Religion: How Jesus is the End of Religion”.
  2. Sometimes, the bible bores me. Sometimes, I take scripture, grace, and Jesus lightly.
  3. Perhaps best known for his “wager,” Pascal is often associated with this curious argument for the existence of God and eternal blessedness.
  4. I'm having one of those days. You know, the kind where you're filled with confusion, guilt, and fear? If you don't know what I'm talking about, just stop reading now.
  5. In life, we make decisions, from the most basic to the most lasting, lacking specific knowledge about the outcome.
  6. Thomas was without a doubt a skeptic. And he was a skeptic without a doubt.
  7. With this declaration of peace, Jesus was telling His disciples, ‘Because I died for you, you are now justified.’
  8. He looked me straight in the eye and said these words, almost in a challenging way, “I hate God. I do."
  9. I finally climbed all 109 mountains. My journey began out of desperation, fueled by anger, fear, resentment.
  10. For all its stewing, regret ironically does not truly focus on the past. Often it is more concerned with the present and the future and how they would be if only we had done something differently.
  11. I have a confession: I don’t believe the Bible is true because it says it’s true.
  12. When we are unsure of who God is, it’s to Christ that He tells us to look.
