Easter (283)
  1. All the flock rejects this lamb, except the shepherd. A good shepherd, when they see this happening, takes the little lamb from the flock and holds it in their arms.
  2. The price was really paid. Your sin remains buried in Christ’s tomb.
  3. When Jesus appeared again to his disciples on that first Easter evening and again a week later with Thomas and the Emmaus disciples, what did Jesus show them? His hands.
  4. On this episode of Preaching the Text, John Hoyum and Steve Paulson discuss the section of John's gospel where Jesus calls himself the Good Shepherd.
  5. Psalm 4 lived through the lives of those first witnesses to the resurrection helps us to share in their personal feelings as they experience the Easter account.
  6. We are promised we will also be before Him as true persons, both soul and body, a resurrected and fully redeemed human being.
  7. He lives. He eats. Maybe our new formal greeting on Easter should be: “Alleluia, Christ is eating! He is eating indeed, Alleluia!”
  8. On this episode of Preaching the Text, John Hoyum and Steve Paulson discuss Luke's account of Christ's appearance to the disciples.
