  1. We must also remember that our enemy is a creature of God. He is someone for whom Christ Jesus died. He is a sinner just like any other, no more or less selfish than us.
  2. True strength, wisdom, and understanding come to us from God. His Spirit gives us wisdom and understanding through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus.

  7. We surrender confidence in God because we lack faith in Christ, and we lack faith in Christ because we rebel against the fact that each, single moment of self-destruction is nailed to that cross.
  8. Faith does not distinguish between worthy and unworthy, saint and sinner, great faith and anemic faith, it only focuses on Christ Jesus.
  9. We focus on what we have, what we don't have, and how and when God is going to give us what we need. This the opposite of faith.
  10. What do we do when Christians are more focused on their doing for God than God's doing for them?
  11. Christianity isn’t about our faith. It’s about God’s faithfulness to His promises.
  12. Likewise, when God says, "Do this and you will live," we go about under the illusion that we have the ability to accomplish what God demands of us.
