Fear (73)
  1. We asked Dr. Steven Paulson when the end of the world would be… He said it already happened and we missed it! But that’s Ok, Jesus invites you into it! Perk up your ears and give us listening to.
  2. A crisis isn’t all bad. Crisis encourages us to recognize who we are and what is real. Ringside meets the Craft of Preaching with Dr. Bruce Schuchard exploring the crazy history of this sinful world and a preacher’s response to it. The Cross of Christ speaks volumes above anything that is offered as an empty solution. Come Lord Jesus!
  3. The only reason we're aware of our old self is in baptism, God created a new self for us.
  4. As long as our illusions of control over storms and germs persist to govern our thinking, we will never be able to take the saving work of Christ as seriously we ought.
  5. "Whom shall we fear?" We fear no one. We're not afraid of anything. Instead, we wait for the Lord with good courage. He will strengthen our hearts, as the psalmist writes (Ps 27:1).
  6. Jesus is our confidence because he reveals truth from falsehood, right from wrong, and reality from appearance, so that we may rely on him for our every need of body, soul, and mind.
  7. His word is what strengthens and changes our hearts. The Lord God will bring us victory.
  8. God Bless the pandemic! Unfortunately, no one is going to learn from it. The preachers tackle issues others are afraid to even speak out loud! This time - Aliens! Do they exist and if so, would you baptize one?
  9. In our attempts to flee from our fears and escape death, we will become imprisoned by them.
  10. Fear returns frequently in worry, but along with it comes a reminder to turn back to the Gospel. To turn anyone who will tell me the good news again.
