  1. There is no one — not now, not ever — who cannot be included in the family of God through the efficacy of Christ’s saving power.
  2. The gospel gives us faith, hope, and love, all of which proceed from Christ’s death and resurrection.
  3. We love hearing about Jesus, but we also love hearing about how much effort we need to exert to truly pull off this whole “Christian life” thing.
  4. No amount of ritual, sacrifice, devotion, or money could ever do what Jesus of Nazareth was sent to accomplish.
  5. The difference between God's gospel and man's could not be greater.

  8. God’s headline for his church prioritizes the person of Jesus and his purpose to demonstrate God’s power by dying and rising again for our salvation.
  9. For you who are struggling to navigate grief, to cope with pain, or breathe through anxiety, the gospel announces that there is a person whose heart throbs for you.
  10. Jonah’s biggest blunder was a failure to understand that God’s grace is always undeserved and always falls on those who are unworthy of it.
