  1. We prefer this to be switched around. We want something to happen in us before anything happens outside of us.

  10. When the Holy Spirit is at work in the office of the holy ministry, the man is ridden by the Spirit and so his only concern is for preaching the Gospel, baptizing, absolving, and feeding sinners in the Name of Christ Jesus.
  11. The goal of Christian living isn't to gather in and store up two, three, four barn-fulls of good works for ourselves.
  12. Likewise, when God says, "Do this and you will live," we go about under the illusion that we have the ability to accomplish what God demands of us.
