Hope (16)
  1. Jesus Christ is relentless. He does not give up. And with him comes the certainty of redemption.
  2. In Christ, this world’s never-children are his always-children, because he isn’t a God of death, after all.
  3. An Anglo-Saxon poem gives fresh insight to the cross
  4. Human solutions to problems, important as they are, are inadequate to meet our deepest needs
  5. Jesus not only healed her daughter, but he also gave himself to her. Wherever she went from then on, he was with her.
  6. We will not become hopeless because the Lord is with us.
  7. Our God is a living God and he listens to our cries for help.
  8. To a world enslaved to time (because it has no future), the Church's disregard for clocks and calendars is ridiculous.
  9. If our churches are split along generational lines it's because we've turned our backs to the cross. We've shut our ears to the Good News about Jesus Christ, who judges the world with equity.
  10. We're not called to be obedient consumers. We're free in Christ to love and serve our neighbor according to his need
  11. When God's Word went to the cross and made full payment for all our sinful, self-serving, self-seeking activities, and then rose from the dead, Jesus added an "always and forever" to our days and life.
  12. Instead of remaining silent when we wonder if someone is struggling with suicidal thoughts, and rather than judging for ourselves whether or not suicide is an unforgivable sin, let's lean on God's Word.
