  1. Grace and mercy are a powerful act of the Almighty God. God alone can grant forgiveness and restoration, salvation from the sorrow of this world.
  2. He assumed the weakest form to do his greatest work.
  3. Little do we know the ancient and everlasting healing powers of God’s beloved tender shoot.
  4. Who are we if neither vice nor virtue will make us whole?
  5. Our brokenness cuts deeper than just the times when we recognize it needs to be fixed.
  6. This plague is no new thing. A dreaded deformity of disobedience clung to every soul since Adam and Eve.
  7. I can pretend for a little bit, but as soon as the phone is put away and it’s just me and my sin, I am fearful about what my walk says about me. I know what I should do, but I can’t quite seem to do it.
  8. No worry, no fear. Nothing she can do can separate her from the love of Christ!
  9. We are no longer controlled by sin as He moves our lips to speak love and forgiveness. We are passive as He acts out His words and His salvation for us.
  10. Christ exchanged His excellent love, His wonderful heart, for my shameful adultery with you.
  11. You are made new by the eternal satisfaction for sin in Christ, by the precious treasure at God’s right hand.
  12. I take out the broom, spray bottle, and trash can. For the hundredth time this week, I find myself sweeping up the mess of a Christmas to come.
