  1. This week on Tough Texts, Scott and Dan explore Romans 5, a chapter that addresses the concept of original sin and its implications for humanity.

  7. The primary point of Joseph’s life (and every story in Scripture) is to point us to Christ. To tell us something about what God is like and how He interacts with His Creation.
  8. Faith is a gift from God. It’s not flashy or boast-worthy. It’s total dependency on the God who saves utter fools.
  9. God puts some interesting laws in place regarding the first year of marriage, loaning money, kidnapping, and skin conditions.
  10. To keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.
  11. Should we sin because we are not under law? How do you talk about the law, the gospel and grace in light of the fact that we still sin?
  12. Paul sees an objection to the gospel he just laid out in chapter 5 coming and gets in front of it. Should we sin to increase grace?
