Law and Gospel (23)
  1. When we proclaim Jesus' death we are, at the same time, preaching that this cup from which we drink is the cup of salvation for all who believe and receive it.

  8. The Gospel is simple to confess. That is, we are justified by faith alone, through Christ alone, without the works of the Law.
  9. God’s Law is a death sentence for us sinners. There is no winning beneath the Law of God.
