Love of God (37)
  1. It’s God’s love that sets us free to love in the first place.
  2. For God to shine his face upon us is the same as saying, “Christ Jesus is with us.”
  3. Unlike human marriage, which is marred by sin, Jesus never seeks to divorce us due to irreconcilable differences.
  4. How we define holiness will affect our approach to God.
  5. The kind of love we crave, that we will go to any lengths to find, is already present for us here and now. The Lord's love for us reaches into our hearts and soul.
  6. What greater friend could we have than Jesus?
  7. Our Creator wants to restore us to a right relationship with him and all creation. So, in his goodness and mercy, he sent his Son to for us what we couldn't do for ourselves.
  8. We already know how the war will conclude. Jesus wins.
  9. Justice and love are united in God, and we see this most clearly in Jesus on the cross. There, both God's hatred toward sin and compassion for the world come together.
  10. We must also remember that our enemy is a creature of God. He is someone for whom Christ Jesus died. He is a sinner just like any other, no more or less selfish than us.
  11. Sin will constantly break our hearts, but God's love in Christ Jesus will give us new hearts daily, in the abundance of his forgiving grace. This is love in its purest form, and he has overcome the world.
  12. God and love are synonymous. Any talk about love that is not talk about Jesus is, at most, a half-truth.
