Ministry of the Church (76)
  1. Jesus, the Son of God from all eternity, the agent of creation, the Savior of all people, promises to abide IN His people.
  2. Jesus promises more than a disembodied “spiritual” existence after death. He has promised to raise our perishable, mortal bodies to immortality.
  3. In His grace, Jesus promises that all who come to Him in faith will live abundantly and eternally.
  4. The people you serve are still hanging on by a thread, which is another way of saying they are living by faith.
  5. The only one who is truly worthy of fear shows He cares for His disciples and desires to save them. Not only them, but all who are perishing.
  6. We know not how, and we do not know when, but God works according to His perfect will and His perfect timing.
  7. Questions and opinions about Him varied, but one thing was certain, Jesus was causing a major commotion. He could not be ignored.
  8. He continues to gather other sheep in, and He does it through the selfless serving and the gracious speaking of His people.
  9. After more than a year of facing our collective mortality as a species, the promise of a physical resurrection is welcome news.
  10. The promise you will make, which brings about the presence of Christ and creates rejoicing, is the peace Jesus brought to the disciples that night behind locked doors.
  11. Like the women who came despite their questions, your hearers will gather despite their uncertainties, and they will be looking for a word of honest hope.
  12. Make no mistake, the life to which Jesus is calling His disciples is radically other than what our world preaches.
