  1. The confession of Jesus as the Christ is the firm foundation of the Church. Even as Peter was called blessed in confessing this, so too are we.
  2. Jesus proves His divinity by not only being master over creation, but in being master of life and death. Peter proves both his faith and faithlessness by putting his eyes on Jesus and then immediately taking them back off.
  3. Herod fulfills his promise so that Jesus can fulfill His; John decreases, Jesus increases.
  4. What does the Prince of Peace mean when He says, "I've come not to bring peace, but a sword?" In sending out The Twelve, Jesus reminds us all of just Who is our very identity.
  5. Jesus uses a lot of animal metaphors in order to instruct His disciples in how to interact with the world.
  6. God is not the source of temptation, but He may use our temptations to teach us of HIs grace. Craig and Troy conclude their study on the Lord's Prayer.

  11. At the outset of His ministry, Jesus' authority is on full display. Authority over sickness, authority over demons, and the authority to call you to follow Him
  12. When God cancels you, it is an occasion for all of the canceled who are in heaven and earth to rejoice in that one more is added to our number.
