Proclamation (104)
  1. John inspired me to see each sermon as an apologetic opportunity.
  2. In his resurrection, God says "Yes" to Christ, and all those in him.
  3. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Your faith is not fragile glass.
  4. This is an excerpt from Chapter 6 of Clothed with Christ written by Brian W. Thomas (1517 Publishing, 2024). Now available!
  5. Despite the best efforts of that council to silence Jesus of Nazareth and his message, it wasn't enough. Jesus was alive.
  6. Press on, church. Yours is the victory through Jesus Christ your Lord.
  7. Free speech isn't dead yet, and when it comes to the proclamation of the gospel, it never will be.
  8. The Christian must always remember that personal piety and liturgical uniformity are by no means the marks of true religion.
  9. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of these early Lutheran hymns – and their physical availability in hymnals – in the piety of common people living in Lutheran towns and territories.
  10. The Good Shepherd doesn’t leave the sheep to fend for themselves.
  11. A Christian story untethered from the reality of Christ and his mercy toward sinners becomes a mere fable, while a sermon disconnected from the hearts of its listeners remains a hollow oratory.
  12. We can interpret "be the Church" as either law or gospel.
