Reformation Sunday (37)
  1. To preach Christ and Him crucified is to reveal again the revealed God who saves.
  2. What do Habakkuk and Israel have? Nothing but the word of God. Nothing but the promise of God. Nothing but God himself.
  3. In contrast to the human courts of our land, the Divine court never makes errors nor excuses
  4. In honor of the upcoming Reformation Day, Craig and Troy discuss the history, background, and gospel importance of the Lutheran Reformation.
  5. Are we still haunted by God? Do our sins bother us to the point that we worry about God’s righteous wrath? Does the concept of justification, how one can be right in the eyes of God, even cross our minds?
  6. Grace is God’s caring disposition toward His human creatures. And it is shown fully and purely in the work of Jesus for us.
  7. Just like we end up walking in circles when lost with no navigation instruments, so does humankind outside of Christ. Nothing has changed since the Reformation. People still suck and God still loves.
  8. Humanism, Scholasticism, ad fontes . . . how did we get to the 95 Theses and what does this mean? You can read what Luther never intended you to see in the 95 Theses.
  9. Elections and presidents and politics and voting. Repent and believe the good news! Everything will be ok.
  10. This is an adaptation of the introduction from “In Defense of Martin Luther” written by John Warwick Montgomery (1517 Publishing, 2017). Used with permission.
