  1. Jesus promises more than a disembodied “spiritual” existence after death. He has promised to raise our perishable, mortal bodies to immortality.
  2. In His grace, Jesus promises that all who come to Him in faith will live abundantly and eternally.
  3. The people you serve are still hanging on by a thread, which is another way of saying they are living by faith.
  4. The only one who is truly worthy of fear shows He cares for His disciples and desires to save them. Not only them, but all who are perishing.

  9. The promise you will make, which brings about the presence of Christ and creates rejoicing, is the peace Jesus brought to the disciples that night behind locked doors.
  10. Like the women who came despite their questions, your hearers will gather despite their uncertainties, and they will be looking for a word of honest hope.
  11. Make no mistake, the life to which Jesus is calling His disciples is radically other than what our world preaches.
  12. This forty-day season of preparation for Easter is an opportunity for the people of God to rededicate themselves to hearing and responding to Jesus’ call to repent.
