Jeff will be the featured speaker, along with singer/writer Steve Bell at the Wrestling with the Faith Conference hosted by John Knox Presbyterian Church in Seattle, WA.    This years theme is Dying to Live.

Death is a part of this life. Who can argue with that? But in our culture, we are experts at ignoring, denying and hushing that reality. Often, we avoid it as much as we can, until someone we know dies and we find ourselves in crisis, or in awkwardness as we try to comfort another.

How do we learn to breathe in and live out the revolutionary truth of the Gospel: “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?” Death is swallowed up in victory through Jesus for the believer, yet suffering and grief are real. As Jesus said, let us, “Come and see.”

Join us for a unique opportunity to focus on death and dying, the defeat of our “last enemy,” and the assurance we have as we walk the path together as Christ followers, learning to weep with lifted hands.

There is no cost to attend this conference, but you must register.   A good will offering will taken to help defray expenses.

Jeff's topic: Reframing the Conversation about Sexual Ethics in Congregations and Homes Drawing from nearly two decades of working with young adults, as well as his recent book, Sexy: The Quest for Erotic Virtue in Perplexing Times, Dr. Mallinson will discuss ways in which churches and families can recover the heart of sexual ethics. He contends that Christian teaching helps us unite desire (eros) with unconditional love (agape), and that, if we recover this gospel-centered approach to love, we can transform a teaching that often pushes people away from the church, to something that draws people into the community of Christ.
