In episode TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY-ONE, Mike, Jason, and Wade discuss systems, faces, and vocations. It’s easy to get caught up in causes, in sweeping programs, in grand schemes, but Christ calls us to love our neighbor right where we find him or her. How do we balance political involvement and policy concerns with daily life and real people. Drawing on a scened from the Grand Inquisitor section of the Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky, we talk about the importance of loving people with faces, concretely, in the vocations God gives us, when and where we find them, through the freedom of the gospel, rather than being paralyzed, consumed, or distracted by the abstract. We hope you enjoy the episode!
