1. חטאת - "If the whole congregation of Israel sins unintentionally and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly... when the sin which they have committed becomes known, the assembly shall offer a bull from the herd for a sin offering and bring it in front of the tent of meeting... And the priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven." LEVITICUS 4:13–14, 20
  2. שׁלמים - “If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offers an animal from the herd, male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the Lord. And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and Aaron's sons the priests shall throw the blood against the sides of the altar." LEVITICUS 3:1–2
  3. מלח - “You shall season all your grain offerings with salt. You shall not let the salt of the covenant with your God be missing from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt." LEVITICUS 2:13
  4. עלה - “If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the Lord. He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him." LEVITICUS 1:3–4
  5. קרב - The Lord called Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock. LEVITICUS 1:1–2
  6. קרן - When Moses came down from Mount Sinai... [He] did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God... And when Moses had finished speaking with [the Israelites], he put a veil over his face. EXODUS 34:29, 33

  8. קנא - You shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. EXODUS 34:14
  9. אחור - And the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen.” EXODUS 33:21–23
  10. לחת - Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, tablets that were written on both sides; on the front and on the back they were written. The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets... And as soon as he came near the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses' anger burned hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain. EXODUS 32:15–16, 19
  11. עגל מסכה - And [Aaron] received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” EXODUS 32:4
  12. כיור - The Lord said to Moses, “You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its stand of bronze, for washing. You shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it, with which Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet." EXODUS 30:17–19
