Easter Sunday (45)
  1. Obviously, the LORD has no intention of slapping a bandage on creation. He will completely restore—it will be made new.
  2. Jesus died for the people who put Him to death. Jesus rose for the people whose minds rejected the idea of a resurrection.
  3. The sacrifice of Jesus stands completed, once for all, and we believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
  4. Need a resurrection in your life? Listen to Ringside.
  5. “Let no one fear death, for the Death of our Savior has set us free. He has destroyed it by enduring it. He destroyed Hell when He descended into it. He put it into an uproar even as it tasted of His flesh. Christ is Risen, and the tomb is emptied of its dead!” - Chrysostom
  6. Tomorrow Jesus will laugh his way out of the tomb, spit in the face of death, and kick the devil in the throat as he dances to the clapping glee of angelic masses. But today he just rests.
  7. Like the women who came despite their questions, your hearers will gather despite their uncertainties, and they will be looking for a word of honest hope.
  8. In the resurrection Jesus transcended time, space, and death; those things which limit human existence. So, the stone was not rolled away for Jesus, but for the disciples and for us.
  9. This is the feast, the banquet to end all banquets. The LORD God is the maker and provider of this great feast which takes place for the resurrected faithful in the courts of Heaven.
  10. The Easter season is designed to cultivate our resurrection thinking throughout the year. When God looks at us each day, He sees us through the lens of Christ’s resurrection. We should look at our lives the same way.
  11. "Holy Week" might sound fancy and super-churchy, but it really just boils down to one thing: Jesus Christ for you.
