Faith and Works (110)
  1. The good news is that with our God there is always more: more than we deserve, dare, ask, or expect, more than we can see, hear, feel, or think.
  2. The reason that God’s commandments are not burdensome is that Jesus has fulfilled them.
  3. The love mentioned in 1 John 4:15-21 fourteen times (!) is a love that needs no apology but is determined at all times to sacrifice for the other.
  4. We need to hear the gospel because it is good news that is not from you, or about you, or because of you.
  5. “There,” the Queen said, “That’s so much better than talking, isn’t it?”
  6. Craig and Troy launch into a new mini-series on their favorite Scriptures . . . the ones that are the central themes of the faith
  7. Faith is like a horse with blinders because it only beholds God’s promise. It is obsessed with what God has already said.
  8. Whatever body part you are, the body of Christ is no pod person. Together, we’re a living, breathing, deathless whole.
  9. The curse falls upon those whose faith is Christ-less. Craig and Troy wrestle with the illustration of the fig tree.
  10. The church is the only place God promises to lift us out of ourselves not in order to become more like God but so that we may finally be freed from our obsession with becoming little gods.
