  1. Jesus’ life and work is now ours through faith.
  2. There’s something very attractive about both the cross-ladder and the cross-crutches. In fact, there’s something about both of them that the woodworker within us finds eminently more appealing than the simple cross of Jesus.

  6. Christians argue about who's in charge of who, who's going to run things, who is the authority and who are the leaders that tell us on behalf of Jesus what to do next.
  7. True faith, saving faith that receives the good news about the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world is a faith created in us by the Holy Spirit through the Gospel.
  8. You are God’s people. Yet you are nothing in the world’s sight. To be honest, often less than nothing. Don’t feel bad, I’m nothing with you.
  9. Apart from bare, naked faith in Jesus' atoning work for us, no sinner is, or ever can be, holy.
  10. We just can't stop ourselves from putting the brakes on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  11. The arrangement was made with Abraham when God claimed for Himself all of his being, and put the seal of His promise upon the most personal member of his anatomy.
  12. I don’t know much about golf, but I do know that The Masters is like the Super Bowl for golfers.
