  1. The disciplines of history and archaeology have assisted in demonstrating the integrity and accuracy of the Bible.
  2. At Christmas, we hear the story of our salvation, but it’s not pretty.
  3. Could it be that the root of not asking is not believing, either in the power, or worse, the graciousness of the Lord to address the issue that lies before us?
  4. When it comes to confessing the truth of the Christian faith, Christians are given the words. We don’t have to formulate them ourselves.
  5. The danger of denying the truth of our common human fallenness and brokenness by original sin is that the denial of this doctrine may also lead us to the denial of Christ as our Savior.
  6. It is the sort of joy that is brought about by the mutual consolation of the saints when they encourage one another through hard times.
  7. Our meditation listens to the King of Kings when He says; it is finished.
  8. Out of His mind indeed, as He took our place between murderers and received the insults and torture of humanity.
  9. Instead of burning them up with unquenchable fire, He comes in solidarity, to be God with us and God for us. Jesus is baptized into our life, so that He could gift us His life.
  10. The text says there was no room for them. And this should give us cause for a little head-scratching.
  11. Christ has come, does come, and will come. He has set you free from the prison of sin and death.
  12. This rather unique human being is God grounded in our humanity. The man Jesus.
