1. Paul wraps up his “missionary support letter” by seeking support for the church around the known world in both spiritual and physical ways. A lot of names are mentioned--some we know, some we don’t--but God has used them all.
  2. If you admit that you’re the weaker brother, does that make you the stronger brother because the stronger brother refused to admit he’s the weaker brother? . . . or something like that.
  3. Sane People Would Pay Top Dollar for This Kind of Podcast. Gillespie, Riley, and special guest Chad Bird read from his book, "Your God is Too Glorious." They then discuss baptism, suffering, and vocation.
  4. Orgies and drunkenness and licentiousness, oh my! Sometimes Christians get hung up on the really “big” sins, but Paul lists quarreling and jealousy right there with them. What’s the connection? Craig and Troy discuss how love does no wrong to a neighbor, for love is the fulfillment of the law.
  5. “Let your love be genuine!” But what if it’s not? The Apostle Paul gives us a list that seems hard to fulfill. If it is up to us, we’re in trouble. But if it is all in Christ, it is done. Love! “Butwhat’s in it for me?” When we fail, we flee to Christ. We know what genuine love is by looking at Christ, and in faith we receive genuine love from Him.
  6. How can we know the mysterious workings of God? We look to Jesus: Jesus does His job of Jesus-ing only the way He can Jesus. Jesus never did His Messiah work the way that people thought that He should, and nothing has changed. We are blessed that He is not a God created of our own image and imagination. All of this is revealed to us through the God’s word alone, and in that word we have comfort of what Christ has done for us.
  7. Craig and Troy wrestle with the same issue Paul is wrestling through: Wanting our friends and family to be saved and knowing that salvation must come through Christ. As the Prodigal Son believed in his father’s goodness and returned, so too will God restore and graft in all who believe—both Jew and Gentile alike—in His Son Jesus Christ.
  8. Craig and Troy talk quite a bit about grace. God always keeps (and always has kept) for Himself a remnant chosen by grace. This is good news for we are not left alone in this world without other believers to encourage and strengthen our faith.
  9. The gospel is not an if-then proposition for us to achieve by works, but a done-deal completion by Christ alone which we receive by faith. Even as a good tree bears good fruit, a living faith does living things: it confesses, believes and trusts in Christ above all things. Today, Craig and Troy dive into all of these issues and more on "For You Radio."
  10. The doctrine of election is a doctrine of comfort for all who believe . . . that means it’s for you! Romans 9 is all about the nature of God, and His very nature is to be merciful to the Jew and the Gentile, for the unbeliever and the believer alike. We understand election rightly when our faith looks not at itself, but to Christ.
  11. The Thinking Fellows are joined by friends to have a conversation in a Hotel bar in Bergen Norway.
  12. Heroes all have deep flaws and weaknesses. It is the same in real life as it is in myths. Craig and Troy take a look into the life and times of the Prophet Jonah. He is the kind of Bible Hero that we love to hate, but mostly because he is so much like us. What made Jonah tick? Why did he run when God told him to go to Ninevah? How does God work in spite of Jonah's weakness and rebellion? Listen to this episode of For You Radio and find out!
