1. Luke 16, the “Parable” of the Rich Man and Lazarus Moses and the Prophets speak of Christ. If you don’t believe those words, why would you believe the actual resurrection?
  2. Matthew 20- “Nunya Business!” Is not God free to generously give His grace--and indeed everything that is His--to whomever it pleases Him to give?
  3. “What must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus answers that question with a parable. We have our own question: “Who am I in this parable?” But a better question is “Who is Jesus for me in the parable?”
  4. Alright, it may not change your life, but we had fun doing this one. Troy is glad that he is not like Craig. Craig is glad that he isn't like Troy and the Pharisee is glad that he isn't like the tax collector. Join the boys as they talk about Thanksgiving and Luke 18:9-14.
  5. Paul wraps up his “missionary support letter” by seeking support for the church around the known world in both spiritual and physical ways. A lot of names are mentioned--some we know, some we don’t--but God has used them all.
  6. If you admit that you’re the weaker brother, does that make you the stronger brother because the stronger brother refused to admit he’s the weaker brother? . . . or something like that.
  7. Sane People Would Pay Top Dollar for This Kind of Podcast. Gillespie, Riley, and special guest Chad Bird read from his book, "Your God is Too Glorious." They then discuss baptism, suffering, and vocation.
  8. Orgies and drunkenness and licentiousness, oh my! Sometimes Christians get hung up on the really “big” sins, but Paul lists quarreling and jealousy right there with them. What’s the connection? Craig and Troy discuss how love does no wrong to a neighbor, for love is the fulfillment of the law.
  9. I’m spiritual, not Spiritual. Gillespie and Riley continue hijacking their podcast to honor their spiritual father, Norman Nagel. This week, we discuss how to sort out gifts we give ourselves and gifts given by God.
  10. “Let your love be genuine!” But what if it’s not? The Apostle Paul gives us a list that seems hard to fulfill. If it is up to us, we’re in trouble. But if it is all in Christ, it is done. Love! “Butwhat’s in it for me?” When we fail, we flee to Christ. We know what genuine love is by looking at Christ, and in faith we receive genuine love from Him.
  11. Living sacrifices are holy and acceptable to God: What’s that look like? Redeemed and made new by Christ, we use the gifts God has given us to serve others and serve Him.
  12. How can we know the mysterious workings of God? We look to Jesus: Jesus does His job of Jesus-ing only the way He can Jesus. Jesus never did His Messiah work the way that people thought that He should, and nothing has changed. We are blessed that He is not a God created of our own image and imagination. All of this is revealed to us through the God’s word alone, and in that word we have comfort of what Christ has done for us.
