1. Zephaniah has given us something more visceral to help us understand the love of God: the sound of salvation.
  2. I think the problem with the idea of eternity is that we do not have any direct experience of it, but we encounter enough of its possibility to be unsettling.
  3. When we pray to Jesus, we pray to the King's right hand. We know one who has the Father's ear, respect and trust. And the one who intercedes for us is still one of us, with nail-pierced hands.
  4. Logos theology is a theology of presence without division. It is a way of unification, of which the incarnation is the greatest visible example.
  5. To say that whoever loves has been born of God is also to say that those who are born of God are recipients of love. They do not have God because they love but because they are loved.
