Hope (85)
  1. Jesus Christ is relentless. He does not give up. And with him comes the certainty of redemption.
  2. In Christ, this world’s never-children are his always-children, because he isn’t a God of death, after all.
  3. Moltmann is gone now, but his theology will continue to provoke and provide.
  4. What we do much less of, even in Christian circles, is recognize just how pervasive sin is, such that it has thoroughly corrupted us.
  5. The profound significance of Christ’s resurrection comes from the threefold justification it provides: it justifies the sinner, the sinner’s hope, and God himself.
  6. Paul knew that, without the resurrection, the Christian life was a “Smells Like Teen Spirit” video.
  7. An Anglo-Saxon poem gives fresh insight to the cross
  8. How the pumpkin patch has a lot to teach us about the love and work of Christ
  9. Human solutions to problems, important as they are, are inadequate to meet our deepest needs
  10. The issue is not the existence of so-called inner rings, but our desire and willingness to spend our lives in order to gain from an inner ring what is freely promised in Christ: hope, security, and identity.
  11. While we wait in tribulation for our white robes (or pants) to be washed in the blood of the Lamb, we confess to one another our seen and unseen stains.
  12. Paul thinks the consequences of Christ not being raised are worse for those who believe than those who never did if it were to be true Christ was not raised.
