  3. Our goal is to proclaim the genuine good news—that’s what “Gospel” means—of Christ’s forgiveness for you. We do not offer you better tips, techniques or checklists. Instead, You Are Forgiven is sermons by faithful pastors who will clearly show how you cannot be forgiven by your own efforts, no matter how well you do on your homework, your checklist of tasks. But they will also show how you are actually and already forgiven because Jesus has done all that is needed, for you!
  4. On episode SEVENTY-SIX of Let the Bird Fly! the guys are thrilled to be joined by Rev. Dr. John Pless of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN, as well as by returning guest Rev. Bror Erickson.
  5. All of these episodes should be personal, to some extent. After all, these aren't static, other-worldly doctrines but we are dealing with the message of life itself. But there is something especially personal about taking the whole theological enterprise and focusing it on your own particular problem: sin. And not abstract sin, but the real stuff.
  6. Judgement is not a fun topic to talk about, usually. Fortunately we have the Rev Bill Cwirla who was not only a lot of fun, but actually turned judgement into a hopeful doctrine!
  7. Caleb Keith is once again joined by Drs. Jim Nestingen and John Pless for a special recording in Bergen Norway.
  8. Have you ever wondered how the earth began? Cindy and her children talk through some of the First Theories commonly taught such as the Big Bang theory, evolution, and comparing it to the reasonableness of a Creator.
  9. The Bible tells the story of the First man and woman in Genesis 1 and 2. Cindy and her children will discuss the gifts God gave to both of his people in their special creation.
  10. In this episode, Cindy and her children will unpack the tragic story found in Genesis 3, the fall into sin. Here we will meet the sneaky Serpent, discover his evil lies, and identify the First Doubt that afflicted God’s creation.
  11. The story continues in Genesis 3 when Cindy and her children talk about God’s curses on His Creation: the First Consequences for Sin. Together they will discover how God’s good creation changed, not only for the first man and woman, but also for us today.
  12. This is the best part of our great story! Cindy and her children focus on God’s First Promises both in Genesis 3:15 and 3:20-21. Here we all learn about a Savior that is coming, and has already come, to renew and forgive God’s people.
